The Prices Are Alright: Post-Hangoverpocalypse update

This is Jaysun, I'm making a quick stop to update the game status, no analysis. My personal life is in disarray, so my input will be brief. I took a break from real prediction.

This is only for the 4 day, as Memorial Day is such a big box office holiday it is taken into account.

Actuals: Hangover Part II- 103 million

              Kung Fu Panda 2- 60 million

I will pull down my score so I'm not insanely ahead because this week we took a big dive.

The Prices Are Alright: Mid Memorial Day Weekend

It's been a busy week for multiple reasons but have no fear: I'm here to give you our opening weekend prediction's in Jaysun's stead. Having worked 2 full days of the Hangover already, I can tell you that it's probably going to do better than any of us were expecting but them's the breaks. Anyway...

Hangover 2
Me: 98 million
Mike: 60 million
Chris: 70 million
Marshall: 66 million

Kung Fu Panda 2
Me: 88 million
Mike: 92 million
Chris: 85 million
Marshall: 45 million

So far the Panda's disappointing but Hangover was always going to be stronger during the first few days because college is out. I don't expect a huge reversal in the days to come but I do think this is going to be the second weekend in a row sounding a death knell for the overexposure of 3D; we've got KFP in both versions and one is very obviously outdoing the other. Keep watching this space as this weekend is most assuredly going to throw the whole game into utter chaos!

S7: Spectacular Summer Movie Spectacular 2: Reloaded Quickening Boogaloo Harder

It's summertime and you know what that means, gonna go out to the theater gonna watch some movie things, gonna make up guesses and hope our list is right...

Forsooth! The solstice hath (almost) ended! Summer is finally here and for the second year in a row where going to go over what's coming out and how we think it's going to do in the grand scheme of the ever important movie industry; week by week you'll get all the cheers and jeers we think are appropriate for a quarter where Marvel and DC will be tested as brand names,  3 huge sequels open practically on top of each other and 3D inundates most of the releases. You'll laugh! You won't cry! You'll laugh again when you hear some of my predictions! Listen and thrill for yourself! (TM)
